It was just another train journey. The movement of train, the noises of people, the typical ambiance and the familiar crowd - none of them were strange to me. However, I wished that the train moved faster, the people were easy with their gossips, the environment smelled better and the available space could accommodate all passengers comfortably...
Dear Parents, please never leave us alone


I noticed the people, old and young, seated around me. Some young girls giggling, some old men thinking and some mid-aged disagreeing with each other. Some were cautious of their luggage, others were glossed on their mobile screens, and yet others were able to strike a conversation, perhaps to kill time. Here, I remember an aphorism: "Do not waste time, you do not even know how much you have".

Ancient Wisdom: Thirukural

Saint Thiruvalluvar
The deeper you dig, greater the spring;
The more you learn, greater the knowledge.

Not only this but all the couplets from Thirukural are equally meaningful and motivating.  A book regarded holy by many was written on palm leaves in sometime during the 2nd century BC.

Blessed are those people who translated the holy book in English and made public here and here.
